Hello All,
Continuing last week’s theme, I have to say that the weather was great. Humid, but temperate, and it didn’t rain. Several people showed up who did not RSVP to the invitation. Since we weren’t expecting a big turnout, this was much appreciated. Still, RSVP guys. Come on!
We made a couple of discoveries. For one, Liquid Nails is a fantastic product. Many of the pieces we’d prepped the previous week fell onto a concrete floor, but none of them broke. Love this stuff! Also, high temperature heat guns are great for simulated battle damage. If you don’t want real battle damage, watch where you’re pointing that thing.
Note the difference between the pre (Front) and post (Back) heat gunned terrain |
We had a very productive day. We got over 100 pieces of terrain primed. We completed all of the winter tree bases and water features. All of the scatter terrain from the previous build was prepped for priming. The Warmachine houses from last year were given a face lift. We cut up several wood sheets to use as bases for Scatter and Partial Line of Sight (LOS) blocking terrain. We developed a new concept for Partial LOS blocking terrain. (Prototype pending approval)
Finally because we are “good corporate citizens”, we cleaned and prepped the location for the next build session June 10th. Hope to see you there!
Till Next time

Post script- Owen reprises his role as THE RAGE for a one day only performance! See the original short from 2012 here. (Go to 2:55 to get to the best part of the video.) This is one angry (not really) painter!
